TrendBites is designed to be usable without giving us anything. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no forms that collect personal information. This policy explains what limited data is involved when you use the site, most of which comes from third-party services we rely on.

1. Information we collect directly

None. We do not ask for, store, or process names, email addresses, or any personal information through the site itself. Searches and city filters run entirely in your browser and are not transmitted to us. If you contact us by email, we receive what you send and use it only to respond.

2. Advertising (Google AdSense)

TrendBites displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, which may include personalized ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info.

Where required by law (including for visitors from the EEA, UK, and certain US states), consent or opt-out mechanisms are provided in accordance with Google's certified consent tooling.

3. Embedded YouTube videos

Restaurant videos are embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not set advertising cookies until you press play. Once you play a video, YouTube (Google LLC) may collect viewing data under the Google Privacy Policy. Videos never autoplay on page load.

4. Outbound links

Buttons such as "Get directions" link to Google Maps, and video credits link to YouTube. Those services have their own privacy policies once you leave TrendBites. Some links may in the future be affiliate links (for example, reservation or delivery services), which would be disclosed on this page.

5. Hosting and server logs

Our hosting provider automatically records standard, short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and uptime purposes, as virtually all web hosts do. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

6. Children's privacy

TrendBites is a general-audience website and does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

7. Changes to this policy

If our practices change — for example, if we add analytics or affiliate programs — this page will be updated and the effective date revised.
