TrendBites is designed to be usable without an account or personal profile. This policy explains the limited information involved when you use the site, including optional restaurant feedback and third-party services we rely on.

We do not ask for or store names, email addresses, accounts, or personal profiles through the site. Searches and city filters run entirely in your browser and are not transmitted to us. If you use the optional Agree or Disagree control on a restaurant page, we store only the food spot identifier, the response, and the server’s UTC date and time. We do not add an IP address, device identifier, cookie identifier, or free-form text to that feedback record. If you contact us by email, we receive what you send and use it only to respond.
TrendBites uses Google AdSense on eligible pages. Thin pages that are excluded from search indexing do not load advertising scripts. The following describes advertising choices.
Google and participating third-party vendors may use cookies or similar identifiers, including the DoubleClick/DART advertising cookie, to serve and measure ads. You can manage Google ad personalization through My Ad Center and review additional opt-out choices at YourAdChoices.
TrendBites uses Google’s certified consent management platform for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. The banner offers Consent, Do not consent, and Manage options choices and sends the resulting consent signals to Google services. You can revisit privacy choices through the privacy and cookie controls supplied by Google when available in your region.
Restaurant videos are embedded using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com), which loads only after you choose to play a video. Preview thumbnails are requested from YouTube before playback and can disclose your IP address and browser details. Once you play a video, YouTube (Google LLC) may collect viewing data under the Google Privacy Policy. Videos never autoplay on page load.
Saved favorites stay in this browser’s local storage. Clearing site data removes them. Google Fonts requests also disclose technical request information to the font provider.
Buttons such as “Get directions” link to Google Maps, and video credits link to YouTube. Those services have their own privacy policies once you leave TrendBites. Some links may in the future be affiliate links (for example, reservation or delivery services), which would be disclosed on this page.
Our hosting provider automatically records standard, short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and uptime purposes, as virtually all web hosts do. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.
TrendBites uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site use, such as page visits, device categories, approximate geography, scrolling, and outbound-link activity. The site does not send names, email addresses, or restaurant-search text to Google Analytics. Google may process device and network information under the Google Privacy Policy. Where consent is required, Analytics follows the choices communicated through Google consent mode.
Microsoft Clarity session recording is currently disabled.
TrendBites is a general-audience website and does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
If our practices change — for example, if we add affiliate programs — this page will be updated and the effective date revised.
